I thought I was going to die.

The numbers were all there, and so were the visions, the coincidences, the epiphanies. 5:12 AM, the 8th of August, 2008. We kept vigil on a cliff by the Missouri River as it rushed by, silently. The stars were bright. Our hearts were full.
